okay. okayokayokay. number one: wheeeerrreee do you find that beautiful texture that's just, like, cursive illegible writing that you set to screen? it was used in the post above me. D: also how do you get your brushes to look all... glowy? is that just a special brush, or is there a setting you can put them on that makes them look less flat and more like they're... glowing?
sorry if you don't understand what i'm asking. D: [i'm on photoshop elements--it's all i can afford--but it mostly does what regular ps does.]

Isobel, i can only suggest picking images that have the same background because i have some blending issues myselfAnother icon TutorialBy emily
From: to Step one: Take this which i got from iconatorStep Two: Create a new layer and paste this image from here. Reposition anywhere and set to Divide. Step Three: Create a new layer and paste the image again. Now posistion the bottom left corner onto the bottom of the eye image. Step Four: Take the magic wand tool and erase the pink. Now use the eraser to erase teh sparkles on the pupil and iris if needed. Step Five: Add the word dream in the bottom corner and wha-la!

maxim: have you tried setting the font to a specific color? what program do you have?
isobel: like what emily said, try to use pictures with the same background. also, say if the person has long, flowy hair. don't try to cut out every strand! just use a soft brush, and make it so it looks like the hair of both pictures is stuck together. if you need help on specific pictures, just PM me =]

PHOTOFILTRE ;; how to make a blend from this to this
1. open a new document, and height and width should be 429 x 182.
2. take your picture and paste it there (edit > copy) or CTRL + c then CTRL + v
3. then open another document, (something large, like 800 x 600). then, copy your picture again and resize it by dragging the corners and edges.
4. after that, select the BACKGROUND NOT the person.
5. then, change your FOREGROUND color (top right corner) to a lime green or something, and hit CTRL + X on the selected area
6. after that, go to image > transparency mask. where it says color, it should be the lime green or whatever color you used, if its not, restart the process. if it IS the lime green, set the tolerance to 0 and effect to none.
7. if you did that right, it should be a black and white outline of the picture. so lets move on, then copy the picture, and go to edit > paste as new image. DONT DELETE THE FIRST PICTURE, YOU'LL NEED IT!
8. it should have re-pasted. so then you go to filter > visual effect > gaussian blur. i choose 6 pixels but the higher the pixel the bigger the glow of the smaller picture.
9. preview if you want, then click okay.
10. now copy the picture and go back to the ORIGINAL one that you duplicated, read step 7, then go to edit > paste special > assemble > right. ALWAYS right, never any other direction. then the image and the outline should be next to each other.
11. now, go to your FIRST picture you made, (read step 1-3.) and go to edit > paste special > image with linked mask, now it should appear like a blend. drag it to your satisfaction.
12. now take this texture, and paste it just on top of the signature.
13. then go to edit > fade paste > and set the opacity to your satisfaction.
14. next, go to filter > frame > simple frame, make the color white or whatever you like, the opacity 100%, and then the width to about 1-5. preview, hit ok.
15. almost done, so now you take your magic wand tool and click the border, then right click, stroke and fill. uncheck stroke, check fill and make the color black and choose the diagonal line pattern from drop down menu.
16. now use a font to type your letters. i used italic, georgia, light pink and white, with a light grey border.
VOILA! enjoy. any questions? too confusing? personal message me (: ill take requests too! i only have photofiltre. [/blockquote]

How do I make the font filled in? Because if so then this is what you do. Go into "File" and click on "New." In the Width and Height bars type in whatever size you want; I put in 200x150. After having of done that go over to your Flood Fill Tool then to "Materials" and afterwards click on the coloured squares - Pick a colour, any colour! Drag the Flood Fill Tool icon over to the blank base and then right click to fill it with your desired colour. Now for the text. Scrool your mouse over to the little "A" icon, then click. Choose whatever font you want, Arial, New Times Roman, etc. Make sure that "Create As" (Top right-hand corner) is set as "Floating". Now that little ants are crawling over the text go over to "Selections" , "Modify" and then click on "Expand". Choose however big you want the fill to be.[/ul]

Hannah I am trying your tutorial and I have it started but when it came to select the background not the person. do you mean the background of the picture? Am I suppose to resize it to fit the entire document? I'm confused.
